Christie signs bill raising N.J. gas tax 23 cents a gallon
Gov. Chris Christie on Friday signed a bill raising the gasoline tax 23 cents per gallon, the first tax hike in his 2,460 days in office and the state’s first increase in the tax on gasoline since 1988.

NJ General Assembly Approves Transportation Trust Fund
The NJ General Assembly has voted to approve the NJ Transportation Trust Fund Reauthorization and Tax Reform Legislation. A-10 which reauthorizes the Trust Fund and makes policy changes, passed by a vote of 45 Yes and 27 No, A-12 which implements the taxation changes including the gas tax increase was approved by a vote of 44 Yes and 27 No.
